A 24-year-old ex-university student from a well-off family wanders the streets of Santiago de Chile when his father, his only remaining close relative, disappears without warning, leaving him locked out of the house. In the streets he tries to find a home among people he doesn’t know and others from his former life, hounded by memories of his past and a strange illness that seems to be rapidly consuming his health.
Jorge Yacoman Saavedra
Né en 1988 au Chili, Jorge Yacoman Saavedra passe son enfance au Mexique et revient au Chili où il obtient son diplôme de technicien de cinéma. Il a écrit sept scénarios, trois romans, deux recueils de nouvelles et un livre de poèmes. Il a été électricien pour Carne de perro de Fernando Guzzoni, coscénariste de Pasajeros de la Tierra de Víctor Jiménez, coscénariste et traducteur vers l’anglais de Estadio Nacional de Adolfo Cozzi, et assistant de dramaturgie de Alfredo Castro pour le Théâtre La Memoria. Il a realisé douze courts métrages. Un d’entre eux, A través de tu reflejo (2010), a obtenu le deuxième prix des courts étudiants au Festival de Valdivia. La comodidad en la distancia est son premier long métrage.
