A mother, a daughter, a neighbour. Lonely and together, the trio cultivates frustration and reproach in anonymous, empty, surroundings, weaving a dull and unhealthy relationship based on dependence. There’s the occasional way out, particularly for the daughter, but the chances slip by in the routine and oppression that dominate their lives. And by the time things blow up on them it’s too late: it’s the three of them or nothing.
