In December 1974, a Spanish filmmaker name Sergio del Monte died in strange circumstances while shooting his first movie. He had only been filming for two days when he died a violent death. The film therefore remained unfinished and its negatives were lost. Only a few people were able to see the preedited version. It would seem that all of those either suffered the same fate as the director or went blind. The negatives disappeared in archives. During an exhaustive search for copies 25 years later the members of an Italian laboratory came across several tins stored under a false name wich had been concealed for the previous years. These tins contained the film directed by Del Monte.
Nacho Cerda
Intéressé par le cinéma depuis sa jeunesse, il a réalisé plusieurs courts métrages en Super 8 et en vidéo. En parallèle à ses études de journalisme à Barcelone, il est entré à l’Escuela de Cine de la Universidad del Sur de Californie. C’est là qu’il fait sa première œuvre, The awakening. En 1994, il dirige un court métrage controversé, Aftermath, et produit Doctor Curry. Son troisième court métrage, Genesis, a été nominé au Goya de 1998 et primé plusieurs fois dans des festivals nationaux et internationaux. Ataúdes de luz est en production actuellement, et il prépare son prochain long métrage de fiction pour Filmax, dont le titre est Oblivion.
