La primera noche is about a peasant couple who have been ousted from their remote land, where they lived since their childhood, and brutally launched onto the streets of an enormous, strange and ruthless city. They experience suffering, disillusionment, disappointment in love grow inside them. They are incapable of bearing each other’s pain. Althought the backdrop of this film is the Columbian conflict, the real action takes place in the characters’ hearts.

Il a dirigé et réalisé des courts métrages de fiction, des documentaires, des vidéos et des séries télévisées depuis plus de 20 ans, parmi lesquels on distingue : Bituima 1780 (1995). Le scénario de La primera noche a obtenu le premier prix pour une première œuvre en 1999 et le prix « Último rollo »pour des projets en post-production en 2000, accordés par la Direction cinématographique du Ministère de la culture colombien.
