Sofía (35) lives in Valdivia. She is vegetarian and has two children she loves, but everything seems to go wrong lately. Seeking peace after her recent separation, she makes a vow of silence: no phone, no tv, no internet, nor reading for a year. But peace is short lived. Inspired by her decision, her father decides to leave her mother. Her older sister returns to Chile with her confrontational behavior. Her children are obsessed with eating meat. And without even looking for it, Sofía discovers an uncomfortable truth about her father.
Cristián Jiménez
Cristián Jiménez Valdivia, 1975). Before becoming a filmmaker, he wrote stories and studied sociology. He has directed several short films. In 2009 he directed Ilusiones Ópticas, selected in Cine en Construcción, and in 2011 Bonsái, Films in Progress Award, and selected in Cannes. He directed the series El reemplazante, Mika’s music video Origin of love and videos for mafi.tv.
