Sofía (35) lives in Valdivia. She is vegetarian and has two children she loves, but everything seems to go wrong lately. Seeking peace after her recent separation, she makes a vow of silence: no phone, no tv, no internet, nor reading for a year. But peace is short lived. Inspired by her decision, her father decides to leave her mother. Her older sister returns to Chile with her confrontational behavior. Her children are obsessed with eating meat. And without even looking for it, Sofía discovers an uncomfortable truth about her father.
Cristián Jiménez
Cristián Jiménez (Valdivia, 1975). Avant de devenir cinéaste, il a écrit des contes et a étudié la sociologie. Il a réalisé plusieurs courts-métrages. En 2009, il a réalisé Ilusiones Ópticas (2009), sélectionné à Cinéma en Construction et en 2001, Bonsái Prix Cinéma en Construction et en sélection à Cannes. Il a dirigé la série El reemplazante, le clip vidéo Origin of love de Mika et des vidéos pour mafi.tv.
