Synopsis : 

Marcos, a seventeen years farm worker, discovers his sexuality in a hostile environment. Nicknamed Marilyn by other teenagers in town, he becomes the target both of human desire and discrimination. Marcos feels himself pushed into a corner more and more.

Director's biography: 

Martín Rodríguez Redondo (1979). He graduated from CIC as a Film Director. His first feature film script Marilyn won the INCAA’s Prize for first feature films and Ibermedia coproduction Support. It has also been selected at San Sebastian co-production Forum, Oaxaca Screenwriters Lab, AUSTRALAB-FIC Valdivia and SANFIC, Santiago Lab. His short film Las liebres was exhibited at BAFICI, Havana Film Festival, BFI Flare London LGBT Film Festival and FESAALP.

Production notes: 

MARAVILLACINE was created to make films in the filmmaker-as-author vein. Its current production includes the documentaries El Maitén (Carlos Echeverría), Map Of Dreams (Martín Weber), The Endless Movie (Leandro Listorti), and Here And Now (Hernán Khourian). Also, a new feature film from Pablo Reyero and Eugenio Canevari, and the INCAA’s First Feature winner Marilyn, by Martín Rodríguez Redondo. Its first released feature, Miss, is a co-production with Tresmilmundos and was included at BAFICI.
