Presentation: Films in Development

Français | Español

Films in Development was conceived as a hub between Latin American and European professionals. It is a place that promotes meetings, exchanges and connections between Latin American and European professionals. Cinélatino's aim is to bring together professionals interested in discovering new talents and projects with filmmakers or producers who have already selected a film for the festival and are currently developing a project. These meetings allow them to build or strengthen their professional network.

Films in Development can receive around twenty directors or producers with a project that can be at different stages (writing, developing, financing, post-production). A match making will be done to facilitate the encounter between potential partners, producers, sellers, distributors, and channels and to allow their feedback. Directors and producers of the selected projects will meet the professionals during individual 30 minute meetings.

Film in Development is open to feature-length fiction, animation, augmented reality and experimental projects submitted by the filmmakers who participate in the Cinélatino selection.

They were a part of the previous editions: Celina Murga with Una semana solos, Pablo Aguero with Eva No duerme, Niles Jamil Atallah with Rey, Alejandro Fernandez Almendras with Matar a un Hombre, Oscar Ruiz Navia with Los Hongos, Juliana Rojas with As Boas Maneras, Marcelo Lordello with Paterno, Marcelo Martinessi with Las Herederas, Pablo Zimbron with Las Tinieblas, among others.
