Synopsis : 

The reflections of Veronica, a young girl recently graduated in Medicine who swims in a sea of doubt and uncertainty. Not only does she question her professional career and sentimental relations, but also her ability to deal with life and the future lying ahead of her.

Director's biography: 

He started in cinema creating a cine-club in his hometown, Recife. He graduated in Film Studies at Bristol University and directed awarded short-films. His 1st films, Cinema, Aspirin and Vultures, premiered at Un Certain Regard, Cannes 2005 and received France's Award of the Ministry of Education and more than 50 prizes worldwide. His 2nd film, I travel because I have to, I come back because I love you, co-directed by Karim Aïnouz premiered at the Venice Festival 2009 and received best direction and best cinematography awards at Rio Film Festival. 

Production notes: 

In independent film business since 1998, REC Produtores Associados numbers among its works, Cinema, Aspirins and Vultures, the co-production Bog of Beasts (by Cláudio Assis - Tiger Award, Rotterdam 2007), and the documentary KFZ-1348 (by Marcelo Pedroso and Gabriel Mascaro). In 2010 released I travel because I have to, I come back because I love you (by Marcelo Gomes and Karim Aïnouz - Venice, 2010). Now works on the post-production of Once upon a time was I, Verônica and prepares to shoot the Tatuagem (by Hilton Lacerda). Dezenove Som e Imagens was founded by Carlos Reichenbach and Sara Silveira in 1991, in partnership with Maria Ionescu, with the goal of producing independent short and feature films for the national and international markets.
