Synopsis :

The movie traces the journey of Ulises Samperio, a 17-year-old Mexican boy, who after an unfortunate misunderstanding with members of a local cartel, is constrained to migrate to the U.S.,  leaving behind what defines him most: his gang and the dance parties that he loves so much. He tries his best to adapt to a new country, but Ulises quickly realizes that he would rather return home to his  family and friends in Monterrey than confront the alienation and loneliness he faces in America.

Production notes:

Production in Monterrey, Mexico, began in September 2017 and finished in October. We’re taking a hiatus to wait for the weather to change in New York and raise the remainder of our shortfall   ($580,000). Pre-production in the New York City unit will start on late March 2018 and production will begin on May 2018 (14 days). Post-production will be between June 2018 – December 2018. We will apply for festivals in the Fall 2018, and we hope to premiere a top tier festival in early 2019.
