This year the meetings are planned on-site and online, a hybrid version is proposed to allow participation to the greatest number. Below you will find information about the different meetings of the platform. They will be updated regularly.

Films in Progress 41

The 41 edition of Films in Progress will take place on Thursday 31 March and Friday 1st April 2022 onsite. The WIPs will be available on Films in Progress Videolibrary from the 1st of April until the 22nd of April.
 

Films in Development 17

The 17th edition of Films in Development will take place onsite and online on Wednesday 30 March 2022.
 

Connexions

A series of on-site and online meetings and conferences. A meeting on the theme of co-production France - Latin America and presentation of the ACM distribution, on Monday 28 March. One on the theme of the mapping of labs in Latin America on Tuesday 29 March. An international symposium on the theme oFestivals and trans(national) cinematic dynamics : forms of production, circulation and representation is also proposed from Monday 28 to Thursday 31 March.

The CNC presents the International Coproduction France – Latin America support and the ACM Distribution support
Aide aux cinémas du monde support (ACM), a selective fund dedicated to feature fiction, animation or creation documentary projects for a first exhibition in a cinematographic theatre. The grant may be awarded before the completion of a project, and those projects not selected for a grant before their completion can apply for the grant after its completion.
The Aide aux cinémas du monde support provides a unique point of entry for filmmakers from around the world. It aims to make the association of filmmakers and professionals from around the world more open, attractive and simple, with a view to co-producing works that will contribute to promoting cultural diversity.

ACM Distribution support (ACMD), a support scheme dedicated to support and promote the international distribution and circulation of co-productions with a non-European country. This programme has received support from the European Commission’s Creative Europe-MEDIA programme.

International Symposium : Festivals and trans(national) cinematic dynamics : forms of production, circulation and representation
This symposium's purpose is to create an exchange space between researchers from diverse locations and study fields and professionals from the cinema sector (productors, festival programmers, institution's leaders and directors). Rencontres de Toulouse is organized through the Cinélatino festival's professional platform, which is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year. The conference is associated with The Muestra films's programmation and is putting together two pannel discussions with professionals and a workshop with two filmmakers.

Round table : FRENCH-BRAZILIAN COPRODUCTION MEETINGS
As part of Cinélatino, 34ème Rencontres de Toulouse, the Film and TV production masters students of University Paul Valéry in Montpellier will be organising a meeting centered around film and TV coproduction with Brazil, set forth from the students’ study of French-Brazilian coproduction. The discussion will be led by producer Serge Lalou who is also co-head of the master’s programme.

As the ANCINE*’s open call for coproduction projects was recently published after a long break, the guests will provide an updated gaze upon the current situation in Brazil, and will share their experiences in the field of French-Brazilian coproduction. How does one coproduce a film with Brazil? What crucial information must one know? What pros and cons might one encounter in coproducing with Brazil, and what perspectives might one look forward to? All these matters will be tackled during the meeting, with time allotted to answer the participants’s questions. The meeting will take place both face-to-face and online.

THE OCCITANIE REGION PRODUCERS' workshop

Brazilian director Alice Riff retells her experience at the Castelnaudary Pierre Paul Riquet residency, and shares details about her documentary project. It will take place on Thursday 31 March at 4:00 pm at the Médiathèque José Cabanis.

Meeting with CICLIC

Presentation of Ciclic (Centre-Val-de-Loire Regional Agency for books, images and digital culture) residency and support funds by Eric Réginaud, Ciclic Animation manager, will take place on Thursday 31 March at 7:45 pm at the Cinéma Le Cratère.

Accompanying Gindou CinEma writing residency

One-to-one meetings between the 4 Gindou Cinéma Writing Residency laureates and the professionals will take place on Wednesday 30 March from 2:30 to 7:00 pm at the Conseil Départemental.

Meeting with Kazak Productions
As part of the ending of Gindou Cinéma writing residency, Cinélatino go into partnership with Occitanie films and Gindou Cinéma to propose the authors of the region a new online meeting with a fiction films production company. The meeting will take place online on Friday 1 April at 10:00 am.
